About JLP
The Jewish Leadership Project (JLP) is building a fearless movement of Jews and allies who refuse to stay silent in the face of rising antisemitism. Founded in 2022 by Dr. Charles Jacobs and Avi Goldwasser, JLP combines moral clarity with bold action. We expose failed leadership, mobilize grassroots communities, and defend America’s core values of liberty, justice, and human dignity.

JLP Vision
A strong, secure Jewish community, thriving within a nation that upholds Western values, individual rights, and freedoms.
JLP Mission
The Jewish Leadership Project (JLP) mobilizes and supports a national network of Jews and allies to confront rising antisemitism and defend America from the forces seeking to undermine it. We transform concerns into actions, train, empower, and unite everyday people and grassroots organizations to lead with courage, clarity, and purpose where the legacy Jewish organizations failed and left our communities vulnerable.
JLP Strategy
Turning back the tide of antisemitism and assault on American and Western values requires political engagement, government intervention and massive lawsuits.
Our strategy is to support and encourage civic engagement on the local level and to build a large coalition of partners to create pressure for government intervention and legal action by documenting, publicizing, and effectively confronting antisemitism.
Partnership Principles
While we wish to build as broad a coalition as possible with the largest number of partners, it is imperative not to be blind to who our friends are and who are not. JLP must avoid the error of preferring inclusivity to effectiveness because often building a “Big Tent” that hosts incompatible organizations paralyzes effective activism.
To ensure cohesion and effectiveness of the coalition all partner organizations must adhere to the following core principles:
Share our commitment to defending Jewish communities and America’s core values.
Reject ideologies that seek to undermine liberty, truth, or human dignity.
Prioritize action over rhetoric – effectiveness comes first.
Uphold transparency and accountability in advocacy work.
