leading with knowledge

Jewish leadership must be grounded in rigorous knowledge, strategic insight, and real-world experience. Our President, Dr. Charles Jacobs has  this principle. For more than two decades, he has founded and led organizations to confront some of the most urgent and unmet challenges of our time, both within the Jewish community and across the global human rights landscape. Several of these initiatives have grown into respected national institutions. One, the American Anti-Slavery Group, played a direct role in the movement that led to the creation of the world’s newest nation, South Sudan.

This record informs our core belief that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools a Jewish community can possess. Effective leadership requires more than passion or advocacy. It requires deep subject-matter expertise, historical clarity, and the ability to translate complex realities into actionable strategy. In that spirit, the Jewish Leadership Project makes it a central mission to identify, partner with, and amplify leading experts across relevant fields, including policy, security, education, media, and civil society.

Through consulting, collaboration, and targeted knowledge-sharing, we help ensure that the American and global Jewish community is not only informed, but equipped to lead with confidence, credibility, and strategic purpose.

Need specialist advice?

The challenges facing Jewish communities today often demand targeted, expert guidance. The Jewish Leadership Project provides tailored advisory support through confidential Zoom consultations, designed to help leaders assess risks, identify opportunities, and take informed action.

Our advisory network spans key subject areas, including civic action, K–12 education, community security, legal strategy, grassroots activism, social media, messaging and public relations, and fundraising. Following an initial consultation, we connect communities with trusted specialists who bring both domain expertise and practical experience to the challenges at hand.

Whether you are navigating policy threats, strengthening institutional resilience, sharpening your public narrative, or mobilizing supporters, our goal is to ensure your community has access to the right expertise at the right moment, and the strategic clarity needed to move forward with confidence.
